What is the concept of Alta?Alta Bar & Osteria is more than a bar. At Alta, drinks are always paired with food, from refined small bites to more elaborate dishes. This combination is at the heart of our concept and ensures a complete, balanced experience.
Can I visit Alta just for drinks?Yes, in the afternoon (14:30–18:00) and after dinner (21:00–00:00), Alta is open for drinks only. During kitchen hours, however, our concept always includes food alongside your drinks.
Do I need a reservation?Yes. During kitchen opening hours, reservations are required. We work exclusively with reservations to guarantee comfort, rhythm, and the quality of service we strive for.
How long does a reservation last?Reservations are arranged in time slots of 120 minutes. This allows every guest to fully enjoy the Alta experience while ensuring a smooth flow throughout the evening.
Are children allowed at Alta?To preserve the intimate, refined atmosphere of Alta, children under the age of 12 are not admitted.
Are dogs allowed?We love animals, but dogs are not allowed inside Alta.
Is Alta accessible for guests with reduced mobility?Alta is located on the second floor and is therefore less accessible for guests with limited mobility. If you have specific concerns, we encourage you to contact us in advance, we are always happy to think along with you.
What can I expect in terms of music and ambiance?Alta embraces a jazzy, speakeasy-inspired atmosphere. Music is intentionally played at a slightly higher volume to create energy, intimacy and character, it is part of the experience.
Is Alta suitable for quiet conversations or business meetings?Alta is designed for connection, mood, and shared moments. While conversations are absolutely possible, guests looking for a very quiet setting may feel more comfortable in our main restaurant downstairs.
Is Alta a restaurant or a bar?Alta sits elegantly in between. It is a bar-driven experience with a strong culinary foundation, where drinks and food are designed to complement each other, never separate.
